Project Summary

This project consists of the mechanical and plumbing engineering services for four work packages:

• Casitas and Site Buildings: A total of approximately 8,300 square feet that included site sewer, waste, and natural gas design for (2) restroom buildings, (2) office/catering staging buildings, (2) events buildings, and the main pool building and bar with a small grease cooking station and grease hood.
• Lobby/Restaurant: Approximately 19,360 square feet total conditioned floor area: The lobby and restaurant/bar will be located at the 1st floor, the restaurant to include full commercial kitchen with (2) cooking lines, food preparation, food storage, and dishwashing; the back of house operations will be located at basement level and will include offices, office support, light work bench functions, new restrooms, and restaurant cold storage.
• Conference Center: Approximately 15,900 square feet that includes the main conference building, (2) meeting buildings, IT room with (2) racks and redundant computer room cooling, and minor commercial kitchen with new grease interceptor.
• Spa/Fitness Building: Approximately 5,700 square feet that includes the fitness building with restrooms and locker rooms, (4) treatment rooms inside the main spa building, (8) spa treatment rooms adjacent to the spa pool and open to the environment with misters and slab or radiant heating.

Also, Walsh Engineers renovated 34 clusters of existing buildings with 5 individual suites in each cluster:

• Provided individual HVAC split system heat pumps with condensing unit located on the roof with the corresponding fan coil unit within each suite.
• Provided (1) exhaust fan in each toilet room of each suite. No other exhaust was required for the bathroom areas.
• Provide plumbing design for each cluster and each suite that incorporates waste and vent, domestic hot and cold water, natural gas system. The design incorporated plumbing fixtures as approved by the Owner.
• Domestic water heating provided with individual gas fired tank-less water heaters located at the roof level.
